Personally, Rani Mukherjee might be the queen of Aditya Chopra and the Yash Raj banner but professionally she is no longer linked with them. She has bid goodbye to Yash Raj films following the debacle of Laaga Chunari Mein Daag, Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic and more recently Dil Bole Hadippa. Rani Mukherjee has signed outside banners films.
She will be seen in a pivotal role in UTV ‘No One Killed Jessica’. She will share screen space with Vidya Balan. While Vidya will play Jessica’s sister Sabrina Lall, Rani will portray the role of a journalist who brings Jessica’s case into notice. The film will be a thriller and will be shot in New Delhi. It will be directed by Rajkumar Gupta of film, ‘Aamir’.
Siddharth Roy Kapoor of UTV is thrilled to have two versatile actresses Rani and Vidya on board.
Hope this non Yash Raj film will bring Rani’s career on track.
