AGENT VINOD is an expencive affair
The Chote Nawab truly seems to be enjoying the role of a producer. And now the Nawab is turning generous too. In his upcoming venture AGENT VINOD, Saif has asked director Sriram Raghavan, with whom he has previously worked in EK HASINA THI, to shoot three expensive action sequences. The movie is scheduled for March 2011. But Sriram is optimistic for the film to release by the end of 2011.
"I will have only three action sequences. But I won't compromise on quality. I've spent considerable time writing the action sequences into the script. Now comes their execution," Sriram said.
"There are three big action sequences still to be shot. They require major prepping. I want to plan them out and shoot them on priority. There was no point going into another schedule without the required budget. We now have that in place for March. These sequences are VFX heavy and it's better to do them first before I do my balance scenes. We've shot about an hour of footage already," he added.
The sizzling Jodi of Saifeena will have to go through vigorous training before the scenes are shot. Since the makers of the movie expect Hollywood standards, the movie will be shot very professionally, but to meet the expenses, the shoots will be located in UAE.
Sriram has been asked to make the shoots economical. "I need to keep a quality check while making sure we don't go over-budget. There are three big action sequences to be shot. And yes, you've heard right. Two of them might be shot in the same location. For one of them I need choppers flying in the night. In India we aren't allowed choppers at night. So we'll have to shoot in the UAE."
So far, 65 minutes of AGENT VINOD has already been edited. But a lot of shooting is still pending, including the prologue and the epilogue that has to be shot in Britain.
The viewers will be looking forward for Bebo’s stunts, because she has two stylish action sequences. But she still is a lot of training to be done and the film has a long way to go before it reaches theaters.
However, it is a great move by Saifeena. You guys have moved out of the bedroom romance and decided to go ahead with some action.
