Bollywood Gossips: In a sort of dubious reputation that doubts his appeal among women, Neil Nitin Mukesh admitted that he was single. Neil said this while promoting his upcoming movie, Lafangey Parindey, where he plays a street-fighter named One Shot Nandu. The movie pairs him with Deepika Padukone, but not a single report of a link-up between them has surfaced so far! This is clearly a first and we have our doubts if this is good for the film.
Star link-ups have always guaranteed a strong opening to a film. People flock to see how the couple looks onscreen. No such luck for Neil and Deepika. Insiders of the Bollywood industry tell us that Neil is way too pally with his costars for the rumors mills to churn out something. Neil himself is nonchalant about it. He feels that link-ups are just there for publicity stunts and he doesn’t need them. We hope his film is good enough to hit the high marks without such publicity.
While the link-up glory continues to bypass Neil Nitin Mukesh, it’s ironical that he stars with Deepika Padukone! Deepika has always been in the thick of things. There were messy reports of her breaking up with long time beau and hitching up with pin-up boy Ranbir Kapoor. She sashayed down the ramp with Ranbir in tow in many fashion weeks. But things didn’t go well there. During the DVD launch of ‘Wake Up Sid’, Karan Johar announced to the world that Ranbir was single.
