As reported earlier, Shah Rukh Khan has been signed to play the Punjabi lead role in Vishal Bharadwaj’s adaptation of ‘2 States’. Well as for as female lead role is concerned, there have been lot of expectations from Bollywood. Because it’s the role of‘Tamil Brahmin girl’ and the question is who suits the role best.
Right from Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra, many beautiful dolls were considered. And now of late, looks like south Indian beauty is also in the race.
According to sources, Saif Ali Khan and Priyanka Chopra were considered to play the lead roles in the beginning. But they were later dropped due to some issues. According to trusted sources, Katrina Kaif has very less chances to bag the role as she wouldn’t be suitable for the role of a Tamilian. But we have already seen Asin and her stunning performance, as a Brahmin girl in Kamal Haasan’s ‘Dasavatharam’. Hence, looks like chances are more for her to grab the opportunity.
